Sales Terminal
The Port Authority is an odd location for a designer-overstock sale—but it gets great foot traffic. Just one reason why Refinery29, the Times Square Alliance, and Fashion Center BID are hosting the Save Fashion pop-up in the terminal’s new Blank SL8 storefront, right off Eighth Avenue. To kick off the bonanza, Rogan, Gryson, Acne, Catherine Holstein, and others will discount clothes and accessories by at least 50 percent (May 1–31, 10 a.m.–9 p.m.; 641 Eighth Ave., nr. 41st St.).

Caution: Fragile
If the title of the Museum of Arts and Design’s new show “Object Factory: The Art of Industrial Ceramics” brings to mind Grandma’s tea service, think again. There’s no matronly tableware here. The museum has collected an impressive array of art pieces, some conceptually interesting, like Edyta Cieloch’s lacelike kettle carvings, below, others just plain gorgeous, like Patricia Urquiola’s nearly translucent plates (May 6– August 23; 2 Columbus Cir., at 59th St.; 212-299-7777).
