W ith apologies to venerable Christmas-tree hawkers, a more sustainable—and convenient—way to buy an evergreen is through Rose Red & Lavender. The Williamsburg gardening shop will deliver a potted four-foot ($150) or five-foot ($220) blue spruce to your door. Post-holiday, you can return it and get 30 percent back in store credit. The shop’s owners will then replant the tree at their farm in West Virginia (653 Metropolitan Ave., nr. Leonard St.; 718-486-3569).
