First docking at Far Rockaway’s Marina 59 last summer, floating hotel/art installation Boatel (59-14 Beach Channel Dr.; 718-945-4500) became the go-to A-train getaway for adventurous, not easily seasickened city folk. Now the water party is back, having grown from a single vessel to a full fleet. The seventeen-boat flotilla, designed by 23 artists from New York and abroad, makes a prime home base for swimming at the nearby beach, renting kayaks and paddleboards, or just reveling with mates on the five communal docks. Rates for sleeper boats, which house between two and five people, start at $55 a night. Just don’t expect luxury: This is a bare-bones, strictly BYO—beer, deck chair, food for grilling—kind of affair. Wednesdays through Sundays until November 1.
