One thing you won’t find at the Park Avenue Garage sale (December 14, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and December 15, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; 38 W. 26th St., nr. Broadway; parkavenuegarage.com): Brooke Astor’s rusty old NordicTrack—or any other junky garage-sale trappings. What awaits instead are discounted luxury goods from the showrooms and walk-in closets of designers, stylists, and socialites, including Badgley Mischka, Catherine Malandrino, and Valesca Guerrand-Hermès. In the mix: Antony Todd mohair chairs (once $5,500, now $3,800), Vanessa Noel ankle boots ($590, down from $1,500), and this gold Douglas Hannant tuxedo (now $750, formerly $5,600) worn by Beyoncé in her “Love On Top” video. (She danced so hard, the original sleeves ripped off.) Partial proceeds benefit New Yorkers for Children.
