For boxers-not-briefs guys, bunching—especially in skinny jeans—is the price they pay for freedom. There’s no such bulk with these slim-cut boxers from newly launched Chelsea brand Pengallan ($60 at Red, 123 E. 7th St., nr. Ave. A; 212-777-7211). Sized like pants, running from 28 to 38, with elastic only at the sides and back, this flat-fronted underwear reduces excess fabric to nearly Marky Mark proportions. It’s made from Parisian-milled cotton, hand-stitched in New York, and available in a dozen ginghams, plaids, and sheeny solids—giving it the look and feel of a fancy dress shirt.
