Audiophiles still sore over not scoring the Flaming Lips’ latest limited-edition LP—the one with guest spots from Nick Cave and Ke$ha—at last month’s Record Store Day can make up for it this weekend at the Brooklyn Flea’s Spring Record Fair (May 19, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; 27 N. 6th St., at the East River, Williamsburg). The event drops 34 vendors—a mix of labels (DFA, Secretly Canadian, Domino), indie shops (Other Music, Halcyon), and vinyl enthusiasts (D.J. Matt Radune, Brian Turner of WFMU)—in the middle of Smorgasburg. Among the highlights: Flea newcomer Miss Lily’s dishing out jerk chicken and reggae singles; synth label Minimal Wave giving away $50 worth of records in a cupcake raffle; and guest D.J. sets by members of Psychic Ills and Xray Eyeballs.
