Overall Look and Feel:
I’m a Christmas person, which is why we chose December, so the theme was Christmas—lots of reds and pinks.

The Dress:
I designed the dress and sewed all the bridesmaids’ dresses. I didn’t sew mine because plenty of people told me it was bad luck. It was winter, so I wanted a coat, and when they rolled out the fabric, I instantly imagined a long train. I love the two together—the way the train followed me up the aisle of the church and trickled down the steps at the altar. At the reception, I took off the coat to reveal a strapless dress with a deep V in the back.
