The Wedding Album
Jenna Lyons and Vincent Mazeau

The Gedney Farm, New Marlborough, Massachusetts.
September 7, 2002

“Vincent and I envisioned a black-tie barbecue for our wedding,” says Jenna Lyons, vice-president of women’s design at J.Crew, “not a hall with chandeliers.” After scouring J.Crew’s location-rental archives, they agreed on a farm-and-field setting. All aesthetic elements had a homespun, natural feel. Jenna’s dress (which she designed) was embroidered with flowers, leaves, and pheasants; centerpieces were made with local blooms and berries. Instead of a cake, Gedney Farm re-created the couple’s beloved Magnolia Bakery cupcakes. “We’ve spent many nights standing on the corner of Bleecker and West 11th, eating them,” says Jenna. A surprise fireworks display topped off a perfect night.
