The Wedding Album
Megan Labant and Mark Abrahamsen
The 200 Fifth Club
November 22, 2003
| On an unseasonably warm November day, Megan, a merchandise planner, and Mark, a management consultant, were whisked away to their reception in a 1969-vintage Checker Cab. This set the mood for a New York–themed celebration of the city where they fell in love (they had met almost two years earlier at a Valentine’s Day party for lonely singles). Decorated in shades of deep red and wine with accents of gold, the 200 Fifth Club featured tables covered with old postcards of New York landmarks. Guests posted their congratulatory wishes in a picture book filled with panoramic shots of the city. At the end of the night, Megan, a two-time New York City marathon runner, slipped into a pair of white sneakers and the couple walked back to their hotel. “As New Yorkers, we’re used to getting around by foot.” | |
