At First Blush

You'd never guess that the oversize white blossoms on the top tier of this cake weren't real—but that's just one of the things that makes Kate Sullivan's creation so unique. Shimmery, gathered pink fondant recalls forties ballroom chic (or, if you're lucky, an old prom dress), and the delicate beaded embellishments add a hint of sparkle.
