For those who find Acqua Beauty Bar a little, well, frilly, owner Jamie Ahn has opened a sleek uptown outpost, Townhouse Spa (39 W. 56th St., nr. Sixth Ave.; 212-245-8006). Sticking with the same Eastern-influenced treatments as Beauty Bar, Townhouse has three floors—including one for men—as well as nutritionists and a catered lounge. In between mingling and dining, try the relaxing “SpaOceana . . . ‘Peace in a Pod’ ” treatment: It’s a giant hydro- pool that sprays you with steam and oils.
