French Connection

ShareThis

Even if you’re not in the market for a $28,500 coffee table, you’ll want to revel in the beauty of French furniture designer Christian Liaigre’s new stand-alone showroom (34 E. 61st St., nr. Madison Ave.; 212-201-2338), his first in the U.S. The converted four-story townhouse is organized room by room, like an Ikea for Francophiles. Drool over the Cravache leather armchair ($7,491) in the equestrian-themed office before ascending the veneer staircase to the second floor’s breezy Caribbean-inspired sitting room. Those on a decorating mission may want a designer in tow; samples of fabric, leather and lighting are available for perusal.
