On August 4, the fourth installment of the Queens County Market takes over a new space in Long Island City, cementing its rightful place among food-market heavyweights like Smorgasburg, New Amsterdam, and the Hester Street Fair. This time around, a dozen vendors will pack the Laughing Devil Comedy Club (47-38 Vernon Blvd.; queenscountymarket.com) from noon to 4 p.m., tempting marketgoers with Guyanese chicken patties from Veda’s Cakes & Catering, Indian-spiced plantain chips from Sweet Silk, Calabrian-inspired tomato sauces by Spicy ’n Sweet, and iheartkeenwah’s cranberry-cashew quinoa snacks. Wash everything down with another QCM first: Sixpoint Sweet Action, Brooklyn Blast, or one of twelve other beers available on tap.
