Woodbury Common, that bastion of designer discount merchandise an hour north of the city, welcomes Tom Ford’s first-ever outlet store on July 7 (498 Red Apple Court, Central Valley; 845-928-4000). Details are few, but it’s safe to expect Ford’s sultry pencil skirts and men’s suits on the premises. (Less likely: the infamous $3,000 gold-and-buffalo-horn sunglasses.) More new reasons to trek to the 220-store sprawl: Reed Krakoff’s just-opened shop sells this season’s edgy-femme women’s clothing, snakeskin handbags, and chunky-heeled sandals at almost half off what you’d find at its Madison Avenue flagship. On July 13, a modern-looking, 1,200-square-foot Ilori will bow, offering brand-name sunglasses at about half their retail prices—from iconic Wayfarers to of-the-moment oversize Chanel shades. Joining the shopping center later this season is Canali Italian menswear, and in November, Breitling’s luxury watches.
