Deal of the Day: A Pot That Will Water the Plants When You’re on Vacation

Whether you plan on getting out of town this summer and would rather not return home to a dried, shriveled fiddle-leaf fig, or you just have a black thumb in general, the Parrot Pot is a “smart flowerpot” for dummies. It’s most useful feature might be its “plant-sitter” mode, which uses a self-watering system to take care of your plant for up to a month at a time. (It can hold two liters of water in its base, which you can pour into an opening in its side.) Even when you’re in town, its four sensors are constantly monitoring the plant’s soil moisture, temperature, and light intake, automatically adjusting watering levels, and sending you alerts if it needs more sun or should be moved away from the window.
