Ever since former tech columnist David Pogue called the Eero Home Wi-Fi System the best on the market, we’ve had our eye on it. He bought one for his own house not just because it creates “a single blanket of strong Wi-Fi coverage everywhere you go,” but also because of its companion app, which allows him manage Wi-Fi with ease. “With a tap, we can shut off the kids’ Wi-Fi access at mealtime and sleepytime.” And the system is currently on sale for $299. A little pricey, sure. But as Pogue advises, “As with mattresses and ice-cream, it’s worth going premium for Wi-Fi.” Right now, both the version with one beacon (which is enough for a two-bedroom) and one with two beacons (which covers a two- to four-bedroom home up to 3,500 square feet) are on sale.
