What Jewelry Designer Irene Neuwirth Can’t Live Without

If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair, but the hand sanitizer and the electric toothbrush. We asked jewelry designer Irene Neuwirth about the jeans, white T-shirt, and lypo-spheric vitamin C she can’t live without.

I live in my navy rubber Birkenstocks. They’re really lightweight, easy to pack, and look cute with everything. They’re an easy staple.

I go to this amazing doctor, Dr. Chris Renna, who told me that when I start feeling sick, I should take this three times a day — it somehow has a more immediate way of getting into your blood stream than regular vitamin C. I get it at good old Erewhon. I just eat it raw from the packet. Knock on wood, it really works. [Editor’s note: This stuff is popular with Amanda de CadenetCleo WadePressed Juicery CEO Hayden Slater, Jenni Kayne, and Jia Tolentino, too.]

Karla Welch, who is a dear friend of mine, managed to make the perfect T-shirt. It’s fitted but not “tight white T-shirt” fitted, just clean and fresh. And the price, it’s not earth-shattering when it has to be replaced.

I’ve used this every day for years — my facialist Yonat Zilberg turned me onto it — and it’s just the most amazing exfoliant. I use it morning and night after I wash my face. I just feel like I never got so many compliments on my skin once I started using it.

I love anything Clé de Peau — whenever I go to Barneys, I end up in the Clé de Peau section — but I especially love those lip glosses that come in the long black stick. They’re sheer with a little bit of color, and just look really natural.

I have a hard time finding jeans that fit — I have a tiny waist, and an actual, curvy body. These Mother jeans have a nice stretch to them and they’re flattering. Of course, I wear them with a shirt tucked in — otherwise they’d be incredibly unflattering.

I’m a big equestrian and horse girl and love tying these around my neck. I was recently visiting a friend who was competing at the Wellington Horse Show, and there was a Hermès pop-up, and I had to buy a few.

My interior designer Sarah Shetter tipped me off to these sheets. My boyfriend is very particular, and won’t touch anything linen, but these are the softest, most beautiful cotton sheets I’ve ever felt. I have like a seashell color and a light blue. They’re just really, really beautiful. I would almost say that above everything in my house they’re my favorite thing.
