The Best Copper Mugs on Amazon, According to Hyperenthusiastic Reviewers

Here at the Strategist, we like to think of ourselves as crazy (in the good way) about the stuff we buy, but as much as we’d like to, we can’t try everything. Which is why we have People’s Choice, in which we find the best-reviewed (that’s four-to-five-star reviews and lots of ‘em) products and single out the most convincing. While we’ve written about plastic wine glasses, wine decanters, and even grilled bartenders about their must-have cocktail glasses, we’ve gone deep here on the best copper mugs you can find on Amazon. (Note that reviews have been edited for length and clarity.)

“These Moscow-mule mugs are simply beautiful. They are very well-constructed and are so beautiful, I hate to hide them in the cupboard. Drinks in these mugs get cold fast and stay cold. And they’re not just for the Moscow mule. Every cocktail I’ve had in these mugs tasted crisp and cold and delicious. I searched on Amazon for a lot of copper mugs, and many had bad reviews. I’m so glad I found the Advanced Mixology mugs … I highly recommend this product for anyone who likes their beverages served cold in a beautiful mug.”

“I’ve been searching for a year for the perfect mule cup, and I finally found the one. I love the shape of the cup and especially the handle. Most of the handles are squared off, so I really like the rounded handles on these cups. The cups have minimal sweating and keep my mules cold and tasty!”

“Bought four of these as a Christmas present for my son-in-law who, while reminiscing about his grandfather, wistfully recalled the old man’s rustic hand-hammered copper mug, an item that had disappeared after the old man’s death. This is an important gift from a nostalgia and personal-meaning standpoint, likely the most personalized gift I’m giving this Christmas, so it was important to get it right, and there were so many choices, but I picked the right one. Substantial weight, soldered handle, no rivets, no brass, no lining, lovely finish. Nicely packaged for gift-giving.”

“This is a really great-looking set of mugs and has a lot of nice extras to go with it. I was impressed with the quality. I also wanted the stainless-steel-lined version of them, figuring they’ll be more durable over the long haul. This is a great value for the price: You get the four mugs, the coasters, recipe book, shot glass, and cleaning cloth, all packaged in a very nice-looking box. This set would also make a terrific gift.”

“These are great copper mugs and I would (and have) purchase these again. They are real copper with no lining or plasticlike finish on the outside; these will patina great with time and use. I discovered Moscow mules while living in Denver and noticed that some tasted better than others. After many tastings (and I mean many) in various bars around town, I realized that the best mules came out of the old-time real copper mugs. You can actually taste a difference in the drink depending on what type of cup it’s served out of. In my opinion, these Sertodo mugs make drinks taste excellent and look great.”

“These are bright and attractive with the typical handle you find on Moscow-mule mugs. I have another set that tarnished quickly, which is a sign of copper, but I wanted a different set that would stay shiny and attractive, which these seem to be doing so far. They are probably not copper, considering the finish, but that was what I purchased these for and I am happy with them. I like the hammered look and feel. They fit great in the freezer and are always ready for entertaining. Looking forward to having more Moscow mules in our future!”

Copper Mug for Moscow Mule — Solid Smooth Pure Copper

“Pricey, for a mug, but then again I’d say 90 percent of the time, you get what you pay for. Seem very well-made and arrived on time and in good shape, which I was surprised with since the two I ordered were also contained within a box that shipped a 25-pound bag of dog food. The product described was exactly what I received. It does indeed conduct cold extremely well, and the wife uses hers for just about any cold drink! … Oh, just make sure you hand-wash these babies, too. Treat them with respect. I do, as they’re by far and away the most expensive drinking cups we own.”

Kamojo Moscow Mule Copper Mugs

“I ordered these for my wife, for our seventh wedding anniversary, which is copper. She absolutely loved them — the fact that they were copper, the handmade pattern, [which] had hearts to it. It was a big bonus that my wife has a lot of copper in our kitchen, and that it fit right in with our seventh anniversary. I’d really recommend the mugs. They are really nice overall.”

“These mugs are beautiful! We’ve used them a couple times now, and they keep your Moscow mule super frosty and cold. I really love the copper straws as well — a great bonus that doesn’t come with any of the other sets I looked at. We loved our first pair so much that I ordered two more sets. One for us, and one to take as a gift for our friends’ having a party this weekend. They come very nicely boxed, so they are perfect for gifting.”
