The Best Tweezers on Amazon, According to Hyperenthusiastic Reviewers

Here at the Strategist, we like to think of ourselves as crazy (in the good way) about the stuff we buy, but as much as we’d like to, we can’t try everything. Which is why we have People’s Choice, in which we find the best-reviewed (that’s four-to-five-star reviews and lots of ‘em) products and single out the most convincing. While we’ve written about some other very popular facial-hair removers before, below we’ve gathered the best tweezers, according to the masses. (Note that reviews have been edited for length and clarity.)

Best wide-grip tweezer

4.4 stars, 462 reviews

“Wonderful tweezers. For some reason, I have always purchased cheap tweezers that may as well have been disposable. I love the shape, with the portion you hold being wider and the comfortable rubber grip. They also tweeze beautifully, easily grabbing the tiniest hair. Also, as a complete surprise, a very nice, free nail file was included. I will never go back to bad tweezers again. Why would I? These were very reasonably priced and work sooooooo much better. I will probably order another one for my purse.”

Best slant tweezer

4.6 stars, 6,970 reviews

“For the last decade or so, I have only used Tweezerman tweezers because of the quality and longevity of them. But I took a chance and ordered a different brand because they are more than half the price, and to my surprise, these tweezers are almost if not just as good as my previous ones. Here’s what I am basing my rave review on: (1) Aesthetics: They are a soft black, brushed metal and look professional. (2) Comfort: They have the feel of quality with slanted ends that are somewhat sharp. (3) Functionality: They grab on to the hair and don’t let go. Tweezing time is cut down because these tweezers make it a less tedious task to pluck those eyebrows.”

Best cheap pointed-slant tweezer

3.8 stars, 133 reviews

“My favorite Tweezerman tweezers! I do about 15 brow-shapings a day, and Tweezerman Pointed Slant Tweezers are the only tweezers I ever use. They grab the hair every time. The pointed tip makes for a precision grasp on only the hairs you want. For over 18 years, I’ve used Tweezerman, and every time I try another, I’m reminded why I always go back to Tweezerman tweezers.”

Best expensive pointed-slant tweezer

4.5 stars, 267 reviews

“My first pair lasted ten years until I dropped them a few times. Just keep and use the included tip protectors, and you’ll have a lifetime of hassle-free hairlessness.”

Best pointed-tip tweezer for ingrown hair

4.5 stars, 2,262 reviews

“I’ve not had good luck with buying tweezers on Amazon until now. These pointy tweezers do an excellent job of pulling out ingrown hairs, and it seems like they would also do really well with removing splinters. The tips match up perfectly so that the tweezers grab the hair but not cut it, which is the problem I’ve had with four other tweezers I’ve bought on Amazon. The pointed ends on these tweezers allow you to push the surface of the skin away from the hair, or even to gently get under the skin, if necessary. There may be better tweezers out there, but I don’t think you’ll find them at anywhere near the price of these.”

Best blackhead-removing tweezer set

4.3 stars, 2,402 reviews

“It is exactly what I want. I have annoying blackheads in the summer; these nice little tweezers do a good job. I like them.”

Best round-tip tweezer

4.6 stars, 99 reviews

“I like rounded-tip tweezers because they minimize accidental skin pinching. They’re probably not the best for eyebrow precision tweezing, but I wanted these for general use, including some underarm. The quality is great, and it came with a leather carrying case for travel. I am petite, and they are a bit longer than I would’ve liked, but not a deal-breaker.”

Best four-piece tweezer set

4.7 stars, 704 reviews

“This is a very nice set of tweezers. I like how each one has a slightly different head, and they are different colors, so you can easily grab whichever one you need without looking at them too closely. They grip the hair very well, even the tiniest ones. This set also comes with a nice little travel case, so they don’t get dull in your makeup bag.”

Best mini-tweezer

4.2 stars, 1,342 reviews

“This is far too much personal information about my chin, but I’ll write it anyway … Until it’s demise, I’d been using a terrific Kelly clamp for years for wayward, gross, thick, embarrassing, super-stubborn chin whiskers that need an iron-man grip to remove. After a brief but appropriate period of mourning (approximately five minutes), and having searched unsuccessfully for the right Kelly clamp, I ordered the Tweezerman LTC Mini Slant Tweezer, knowing that nothing could take the place of the hemostat. Wrong-o. It’s better because the small size and close finger proximity to the hair gives me better aim for the base of the hair, and for leverage to fight the beasts. I’m not sure why the ends are made to be fairly sharp-feeling. Maybe that increases the odds of getting the deepest pull. Whatever the reason is, it works. Highly recommend.”

Best key-chain tweezer

4.7 stars, 312 reviews

“Fits well on my keys and has been a blessing when I really needed to ‘pull something out.’ Not to get gross, but it works great for hairs on my face, as well as small blackheads and pimples around my nose that appear rarely, but are difficult to ‘pop.’”
