There can be a tendency to question the worthiness of anyone young, adorable, and declared a pet by the entire fashion community. Perhaps this is why Jack McCullogh and Lazaro Hernandez, the young and adorable fashion-world darlings behind Proenza Schouler, work so very hard to deliver, season after season, collections that are well considered, beautifully executed, and always, always pushing their very specific vision forward.
There was a sort of joy in the air at the Proenza Schouler after-party at Beatrice Inn. (And a lot of smoke — even the dubious Romanians who've been everywhere this Fashion Week had to take their cat and go home.) The designers had all shown and were drinking merrily. Upstairs, the dance party went on under disco lights till the wee hours of the morning.

Big and sweet, with a hint of iodine, the fall shrimp are the best of the year. (Their brown brethren, which were brought in over the summer, also have a certain charm.) Here's a short list of restaurants that buy them fresh from Louisiana.
