While celebs shopped like mad at the Super Saturday benefit in the Hamptons, Starbucks were closing, Molly Sims was late for her own party, 'SATC''s Jason Lewis ran on the beach, and all the scarecrows fell down!
Ha-ha, Los Angeles! You see what happens when you threaten to take the Oscars away from the pretty people? They come here to New York to party! Okay, so maybe it's more that Madonna just invited them all to come to New York, and you can't say no to Her Madgesty (she clearly knows how to do that Famke Janssen kill move from Goldeneye, and she likes it). But still, her Gucci/Malawi party was on Wednesday, and according to PageSix.com and Us Weekly, many celebs stuck around last night to attend Ashton Kutcher's birthday party at Gemma. Kutcher claims it was his 30th birthday, and to celebrate, Salma Hayek, François-Henri Pinault, Lucy Liu, Bruce Willis, and Kate Hudson all showed up. Madonna even sang "Happy Birthday" (okay, for all our bitterness, we must admit that's pretty effing cool)! Later in the evening they went to Socialista, where they were joined by Roberto Cavalli, Rebecca Gayheart, Molly Sims, Liv Tyler, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Nice job, Ashton! Way to party like it's still 1999!

One of the best parts of going to the tents in Bryant Park is chilling in the W Hotel lounge backstage, where celebs sip on mimosas before making their last-minute trips to the front row. Already, the Olsens and Gwen Stefani (and baby) have made appearances, along with Mya and Teri Hatcher. Demi Moore was supposed to come before Miss Sixty but accidentally got swept into the IMG lounge, where she was swarmed by the crowd from a party-in-progress. We caught up with model turned TV host Molly Sims and got the scoop on her shopping habits as well as the meta-experience of watching her former profession from the front row.
Fashion correspondent Fabiola Beracasa was backstage at BCBG Max Azria with a camera. See what the designer himself considers to be “relatively romantic” and find out what celebrity Arden Wohl saw at her first fashion show. And which pieces of the "sexy, sensual lingerie" will Molly Sims order?
The Max Azria show was jam-packed with socialites and celebrities alike, but none of them seemed to matter once the lights dimmed and Nicole Richie — wearing a bump-concealing, floaty thing — made a beeline for her seat. "You can only tell she's pregnant by her boobs," squealed the girl next to us. "She looks so much better with the baby weight on," announced another as we all stared at the wings tattooed on her less-bony shoulder blades. Well comparatively less bony. But it's a start.
Who would have though that the celeb faction would come out at the eleventh hour, and to see Tommy Hilfiger, no less? And yet the Friday-evening show at the Hammerstein Ballroom was comparatively packed with a mixed bunch of familiar faces. We spied pop star Cassie; Las Vegas star and Cover Girl Molly Sims (who looked lovely but thin in a tightly cinched navy trench) gabbing with Rachel Roy and Damon Dash; model Natalia Vodianova; Playboy Playmate Victoria Silvstedt; and one of this week's Former Destiny's Child Members About Town, Michelle Williams, whom we overheard telling a reporter that she has been a fan of Hilfiger's for years, and that he had always been a big Destiny's Child supporter. We can totally see Hilfiger rocking out to "Bootylicious."
