The most popular person among photographers on the front row of Carlos Miele's show this afternoon was Olivia Palermo. (Maybe the starlets were enjoying afternoon catnaps.) Odd, we thought, since Miele's show time was 3 p.m. and Palermo is now employed in the Public Relations department at Diane Von Furstenberg's office. "I actually have personal reasons why I'm not in the office," Palermo told us, fumbling over her words and smiling nervously. "I took the day off [Monday] after [DVF's] show," she said. We asked her what projects she's working on and she said she's working "editorially … helping editors and stylists." She also mentioned something about how she hadn't been feeling well around the time of Diane's show. Huh. She looked fine at the after-party we saw her at Sunday evening. And she looked well this afternoon, but you know how those bugs spread during Fashion Week! Palermo said her favorite shows so far include Ports 1961 on Monday night, Alberta Ferretti last night, and Frank Tell on Saturday afternoon, none of which were during office hours. She's really a sweet girl, but we suspect our tent-going brethren would agree that staying home with her germs would have been the safest bet.
