Man, do we feel bad for Sarah Palin. The fun of wearing her brand-new $150,000 designer wardrobe has come to an end, for she wore her old clothes to a rally in Florida yesterday. "I am back to wearing my own clothes from my favorite consignment shop in Anchorage, Alaska," she boasted to the crowd. Hey, we have no problem with consignment wares, but if someone gave you new Valentino, would you want to give it back? "They are not my property. Just like the lighting and the staging and everything else that the RNC purchased, I'm not taking them with me," Palin said. Sigh. To hammer home just how affordable her outfit was, she even talked about her $35 wedding ring and the beaded earrings her mother-in-law gave her. So it took her only five days to address this whole mess herself! It can't have been that tough since Elisabeth Hasselbeck was there to introduce her and cheer her on. Hasselbeck called the wardrobe kerfuffle "deliberately sexist."
We see Palin's ditched the Saks merch, but what about the $5K hair and makeup team? The ends of her hair are slightly frizzy, but Floridian humidity is a toughie.
