Marc Jacobs Assesses Kate Moss

On May 6, the next Costume Institute exhibit opens to the public. This one is called "Model As Muse: Embodying Fashion," curated by Harold Koda. In a press conference about the exhibit yesterday, Marc Jacobs, who's sponsoring this year, said he urged Koda to make it fun. Jacobs cast Kate Moss in the show for his famous Perry Ellis grunge collection, which got him fired. But he's not sure he'd agree with Koda that that was a "defining moment." We hear him — these days that woman breathes and it's a defining moment. [Heard on the Runway/WSJ]
