eff the recession

First-Ever Hermès Helicopter Lands in the United Arab Emirates

Aviation isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when we think of Hermès. But the French house indeed took to the sky for its latest collaboration, creating a helicopter in conjunction with Eurocopter. The chopper, which is named L’Hélicoptère par Hermès, features a white, brown, and orange color scheme, toile “H” fabric on the cockpit, and handcrafted seats upholstered in Hermès calf leather. It sold for $6 million to Falcon Aviation Services in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and will be used to host business travelers. Clearly the word “recession” means little to some people. [Luxist]
