Best Bet: Hairy Situation

This summer has been more rain than shine so far, and our tresses are still suffering. In our never-ending quest for an anti-frizz solution, we came across the three-step René Furterer Myrrhea Kit. Made with myrrh extract (a natural resin used to smooth and control hair), the kit promises to help keep hair silky smooth after a blowout. Though it costs $69, the daily shampoo, conditioning silkening mask, and silkening fluid are hefty full-size products that can be mixed into existing routines. After lathering up, the daily shampoo rinsed out cleanly, leaving a faint woodsy and spicy scent on our hair. The mask, used once a week, was rich and deeply conditioned our strands. And just a dollop of silkening fluid applied to towel-dried hair pre-blow-drying yields hair that feels smooth, with a hint of shine. But the biggest test was heading out for dinner on a muggy evening and having our blowout hold up. Consider us converted.
