Michigan Avenue Won’t Reveal What Desirée Rogers Wore on Her Latest Cover

White House social secretary Desirée Rogers appears on the cover of the new issue of Michigan Avenue. When she last appeared on a Niche Media title, Capitol File, the credits for the clothes she wore were listed. They included a $3,370 Louis Vuitton coat and $7,900 freshwater-pearl-and-diamond earrings by Jorge Adeler. The Michigan Avenue story ignores fashion entirely, and lists no credits for Desirée’s outfits, though fashion seems to be an interest of Desirée’s (unless she simply sat front row at Fashion Week next to Anna Wintour in February to gossip about boys and discuss the latest technological advances in teeth whitening). When Desirée posed for The Wall Street Journal’s magazine, WSJ. — her first cover as social secretary — the article reported she considered wearing an Oscar de la Renta ballgown provided by WSJ., but the White House deputy press secretary shot it down. (She wore Prada instead, poor thing.) So now she’s just not talking about her expensive taste to save the White House from looking gauche. But if she were wearing Ann Taylor and costume jewelry from Stein Mart on that cover, we have a hunch we would have heard about it.
