Naeem Khan’s HSN Collection a Huge Success; William Rast to Infiltrate Malls

Naeem Khan for HSN was a success. When it debuted on October 29 at 8 p.m., four of the ten items in the collection sold out by 8:05, and then seven sold out by 8:10. The network even cut the show short because they ran out of products. [FWD via Racked]

• Justin Timberlake's William Rast label plans to open up to 50 stores by 2012. The stores will be located around the world, mainly in malls. [WWD]

• Quiksilver laid off 125 people, or 10 percent of its staff. The company previously laid off 150 people in January, and has also eliminated 200 positions that were unfilled. [WWD]

Louis Vuitton booked Daisy Lowe to star in its new press kit for the resort 2010 collection, which will be shot this weekend in Miami. [WWD]

If I walk past something in a shop window or find something during a shoot that I love I get very excited in a childish sort of way, but the idea of buying clothes in shops with lots of people and the need to make decisions doesn't do it for me."
