Being the cynics that we are, we stopped believing in Christmas miracles years ago. But this holiday season, we've been moved. You see, we were given a true gift, one that could only have come from the big jolly man himself. That's right, Santa's real. And we know this because his present to us is extra special. When we saw it we clapped our hands with glee: A Q&A with Christian Audigier on his favorite things. The Independent took it upon themselves (clearly feeling the need to share this with the world) to find out what the Ed Hardy designer wears. And the answer: not his own line.
For your reading pleasure (and so you, too, can be like Audigier), a sampling of the questions and answers:
Who's your style icon?
Without doubt, Ralph Lauren — he has the most amazing style, which will never go out of fashion.
What can't you live without?
Cologne, I can reapply a few times a day. A fresh scent is very important to me.
Describe the best outfit you've ever worn
Despite designing luxury streetwear, which I generally live in, I would have to say one of my suits. Could even be a Ralph Lauren. Every man must own a great-fitting suit.
What's in your wardrobe?
I like to wear leather biker-style jackets. I have loads, from tan to black, and they are so versatile. I like to wear them with a shirt and jeans. I own many T-shirts, which are a staple and a key piece in my designs.
What's your secret style tip?
Like you said, it's a SECRET.
Oh, what a tease! Now we'll never know what the real key to dressing like him is. Whatever will we do? Other than splash lots and lots of cologne on our Ralph Lauren suits, that is. Somewhere, Jon Gosselin is taking notes.
