Vote on Vogue’s Best Dressed of the Decade

If the eighties were all about decadence, and the nineties were grunge and minimalism, the aughts have brought us an egalitarian way of life in fashion. We have diffusion lines, high-low pairings, and so many sample sales that just about anyone can afford a luxury designer item. (All good things!) And now, the bible of the sartorial set is going one step further in leveling the playing field: Vogue is allowing readers to vote on the best-dressed person of each year of the decade. That's right, it's up to you to pick, so choose wisely lest they take this away from us.

Each year has ten candidates, which takes us on a lovely/entertaining stroll down memory lane. The year 2000 gives us Jennifer Aniston, Sofia Coppola, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez (featured in her famous down-to-there Versace dress), Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chloë Sevigny, Charlize Theron, Uma Thurman, and Renée Zellweger. Keep voting and the choices get more intriguing (yes, Tilda Swinton is included), all the way up to 2009 (Michelle Obama is in there, don't panic). So, do you agree with the choices? Who's missing? There's no option for a write-in, so you can't, sadly, vote for Grace Coddington. But who would you add in? Now go forth and vote. It's not every day that you get a say at Vogue.
