Lunar Beauty at Armani Privé Couture; Corre Invests in Illamasqua

MAKEUP
• The Armani Privé spring couture collection, including the makeup, was inspired by the moon. Makeup artist Linda Cantillo used iridescent pastels to mimic an aurora borealis and lunar shades for the color palette to evoke a woman who lived on the moon. Hair was also slicked back. [WWD]

• Agent Provocateur co-founder Joe Corre, the son of Vivienne Westwood who stepped away from the company earlier this year to focus on other projects, signed on to invest in 10 percent of the makeup brand Illamasqua. The makeup company just came to the United States in 2009, so hopefully this investment means more growth. [PR Newswire]

• Gold is a big trend for spring. But instead of wearing gold clothes, wear gold makeup, like highlighter shimmers, nail polish, shadows, eyeliner, and lipstick. Every cosmetics company came out with something gold for the new season. [Refinery 29]

HAIR
• Alexis Mabille extended the theme of color-blocking at his couture fashion show all the way to the hair of his models. Half of the hair on models was left natural, while the other half featured large chunks of bright colors that matched the dresses. [Beauty Counter/Style.com]

SKIN
• Fergie uses body glitter, but avoids the trashy look by keeping it below the neck. [Girls in the Beauty Department/Glamour]

FRAGRANCE
• The Salvador Dali fragrance collection is launching a new scent named Little Kiss Me, the follow-up to 2008’s Little Kiss fragrance. It is a musky floral scent developed by Céline Ellena. [Now Smell This]
