Mark Fast to Launch a Lower-Priced Line

Canadian knitwear designer Mark Fast is launching a lower-priced line this spring named Faster. The Central Saint Martins graduate decided now is the right time because he wants his work to be accessible to a wider audience, a concept that fits right into his design mantra: He is known as much for his signature skintight, see-through, and holey dresses as he is for dressing all sizes, from plus-size to maternity. While prices for his designer label wholesale for $2,500, his new line of tube dresses, leggings, and crop tops range from $25 to $400 wholesale. The new collection will also be produced faster than his signature one — instead of being made one at a time, they’ll be produced in an Italian factory. And New York stores Curve and Seven already picked up the line for spring. Fast is also launching his first collaboration collection for Topshop this season. So if you’re dying to wear a skintight dress with holes, at least now you won’t have to spend thousands to get one.
