Kate Moss Isn’t a Designer, But ‘Can Make a Dress Out of a Scarf’

Peter Lindbergh shot Kate Moss looking glazed over in a threesome situation for the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar. The purpose of the cover story is to plug Moss’s retrospective, to be held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in 2010, also known as the retrospective the museum had to delay for over a year owing to lack of funding, not that Bazaar pointed this out.

The magazine managed to slip a few non-museum-related questions past Moss’s PR team, including one about her Topshop line! When asked how her design career is going, Moss responded, “I’m not really a fashion designer. I just love clothes. I’ve never been to design school. I can’t sketch. I can’t cut patterns and things. I can shorten things. I can make a dress out of a scarf.” Suddenly, Topshop’s pricing seems so justified.
