Best Bet: Alice in Wonderland’s Flamingo-Print Makeover

By

Back before the holidays, we scooped up Penguin Books' gorgeous clothbound versions of classics like Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice. Now the series has introduced five new titles — including Emma, Lady Chatterley's Lover, and Treasure Island — each encased in colorful embossed canvas covers. But the tome we're coveting most is the new flamingo-print rendering of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. After we watched Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter's gleefully over-the-top interpretation in 3-D, Penguin's latest release provides an excuse to get reacquainted with the original.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, $20 at Anthropologie or online.
