This month's issues were full of rail-thin models, not curves, which the industry keeps saying are "in." But then we found a spread of Crystal Renn from the May issue of French Vogue, a magazine that loves skinny models like Jac and Anja Rubik. Penélope Cruz guest-edited the issue. It's unclear what "guest-editing" actually entails, but could she have had the genius idea to take the model of the moment and have Steven Klein shoot her lying supine, wearing nothing but a red trench coat and an augmented bush?
Maybe this is a metaphor for the return to curves as a return to nature. Toss out those razors with that Zantrex, sisters.
