Last week, New York design editor Wendy Goodman traveled to Milan to attend the Furniture Fair. Among the almost 2,500 designers who showed, she previewed work by Marcel Wanders, Charles Job, Claesson Koivisto Rune, Frederique Morrel, and many more. Just like the rest of Europe, Milan was afflicted by volcanic ash last week — so, with the airports closed, Wendy made her way to Rome to try to find a flight. (She made it back safely.)
