Michael Bastian wants to launch womenswear. "I would really like to explore who the girl in my guy’s life is. I don’t want her to be his little sister — she ain’t going to be wearing khakis," the CFDA-nominated menswear designer said. He has nothing against khakis, though, since his current spring collection for men features plenty of them. Also off the table for womenswear: ties. "A woman in a man’s tie, I hate that," he said.
