Patrick O’Connell has stepped down from his post as Vogue’s director of communications, citing the need for “a personal change.” During his twelve-year tenure, he handled damage control during some of the magazine’s hairiest moments, including its controversial “LeBron Kong” cover and the unflattering portrait that was The Devil Wears Prada. He reportedly submitted his resignation last week and is expected to stay on till a successor is chosen. [WWD]
