Proof That Bedbugs Love Frat Boys: Abercrombie & Fitch Is the Newest Victim

Just as the bedbug-infested Hollister flagship in Soho reopened on Saturday (a mere two days after they closed for what we hope was a fumigation as "epic" as the three-story store itself), the South Street Seaport location of Abercrombie & Fitch closed its doors to deal with the same problem. Abercrombie & Fitch, the parent company of both stores, announced that the location would stay closed indefinitely until the bloodsuckers were eradicated from every last popped collar. Are cologne fumes and thumping techno beats the bedbug equivalent to the pied piper's flute for rats? Perhaps, but it seems more likely that there's a central source shipping the creepy-crawlers to different locations (somewhat like that salmonella-infested peanut-butter plant in Georgia that forced us to abstain from Nutter Butters in early 2009). Gross.
