George Clooney to Italian Court: ‘I Don’t Wear Long Jean Shorts’

Sexy 49-year-old movie stars with lakeside mansions don't go to court in Italy every day to testify against people who make fake clothing lines bearing their name. So those present today in the Milan courtroom where George Clooney delivered a 90-minute testimony — which the judge noted "lasted as long as a movie" — seemed to really enjoy the experience. Clooney was testifying against the people who claimed two years ago that Clooney was launching his own clothing line called "GC Exclusive." To testify, the actor was forced to push through a throng of fans to access the courtroom, charming them by saying "excuse me" ("scusa, scusa") in Italian. One woman was thrown out of the courtroom for taking a picture of Clooney, who didn't let his charms flag throughout his 90 minutes there.

Clooney made a crack at the people who concocted the fraudulent line:

"This is the first time I've ever seen him," Clooney said, motioning to the defendant. Then with just a trace of irony, Clooney added, "So I'd like to say hello, nice to meet you."

The defense's case rested on photos of Clooney with the defendants. But Clooney claimed the photos of him with defendant Vanja Goffi, who wasn't in court today, were doctored and he never hung out with her. It sounds like he's alleging they Photoshopped his face onto another person's body — a very badly dressed person.

Examining other photos, Clooney explained why he was not the man in one particular picture.

"Here, for instance. I don't smoke and I don't wear that watch," Clooney said. Then after a pause he added, "I also don't wear long jean shorts."

He also said he never met and has never seen Goffi, with whom he's been falsely romantically linked. But hey, this is a pretty clever idea! Do a decent enough job Photoshopping a celebrity's face onto a dude standing next to you in a picture, and you could convince at least some people that the really famous, sexy person is choosing to have sex with you! Now who has the balls to put Justin Bieber's face on their boyfriend's body and report back on what kind of Twitter death threats they get?
