Blow by Blow, by her husband Detmar Blow and Tom Sykes (brother to Vogue writer Plum), comes out November 9 in the U.S., but was excerpted in the Daily Mail over the weekend. The book details the various tragedies of Blow's life, starting with the death of her 2-year-old brother, who drowned in a swimming pool while she was supposed to be watching him (she was 5), and ending with her suicide at age 48. Ironically, she killed herself by the same method as her husband's father. "My immediate feeling was one of sickening déjà vu: my own father had died in 1977 after drinking weedkiller, and it had killed him in half an hour as the liquid burned out his insides," Detmar writes.
