Anna Dello Russo’s Head Is Gradually Becoming a Fruit-and-Cheese Platter

Japanese Vogue fashion director Anna Dello Russo attended the Alberta Ferretti show in Milan today wearing a spring 2010 Yves Saint Laurent dress embroidered with little strawberries, and accessorized with a bulbous cherry hat. This is the perfect follow-up to the glitter watermelon she affixed to her head for the spring 2011 Marc Jacobs show at New York Fashion Week. Red Carpet Fashion Awards sat next to her today:

I had to ask her about the hat. She said she likes to come up with something different.

So many people take her picture that she doesn’t want anyone to look at a picture of her and think “oh she’s done that before”.

I think she takes her “job” as a style icon very seriously, but in a very tongue-and-cheek way hence the cherry hat.

When I asked her what’s next she said “fromage”.

Whoever sits next to her at that show have GOT to wear complementing giant crackers on their heads.
