Fashion Jews Upset That Fashion’s Night Out Overlaps With Rosh Hashanah

This season's Fashion Week may not interfere with Labor Day, but it directly overlaps with another major holiday observed by quite a few people in the industry. Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Wednesday, September 8, and ends the day Fashion's Night Out begins on September 10. But some fashion Jews don't want Fashion's Night Out on such a major holiday.

"No one would dare ask us to work on Christmas," one fashionably observant Jew snipped.

Ivanka Trump isn't working on Fashion's Night Out now that she has an Orthodox Jewish husband; she may just enjoy a nice night in wearing sleeves. Israeli designer and bona fide hottie Yigal Azrouël will only make a brief appearance Friday night at his meatpacking-district boutique (he also moved his show so as not to overlap with the High Holidays). How about you: Will you enjoy a Fashion's Night Out or a Jewish Night In?
