Tom Ford graciously shares the cover of the issue of French Vogue he guest-edited with 15-year-old model Daphne Groeneveld, who is notably fully clothed while Ford has likewise contained his chest and its resplendent oft-showing hair behind her. Carine Roitfeld says that Ford took his guest-editing job "very seriously" and even spent a couple of days in the magazine's offices right in the middle of Paris Fashion Week. But this is just another testament to the sacrifices that must be made for that signature Fordian perfection.
And like the cover, Ford didn't feature only himself in the issue:
Other fashion brands figure in well features envisioned by Ford: one photographed by Terry Richardson at his New Mexico ranch; one on high jewelry, and another devoted to mature women who have resisted plastic surgery. “He very much likes beautiful wrinkles,” Roitfeld said, flashing a smile.
You know, just not on the cover.
