It should come as no shock that Mario Testino was the Chosen Photographer to take Kate Middleton and Prince William's first official portrait. Apparently the sitting occurred last month, but it's unclear when the images will be released to put that blue Issa dress behind us and start a craze for some other generic sort of garment. Testino is the royal family's go-to man for whenever photos must be taken. He shot Prince William's 21st birthday and Prince Harry's 20th birthday. He also shot Prince Charles for British Vogue in 2002 and for American Vogue earlier this year. Prince Charles also hired Testino, naturally, to shoot this year's official Christmas card. One can assume Kate Middleton's first Vogue photo shoot will also be with Testino. But who cares when that happens, really? The girl's life has become a series of Vogue moments.
