Pre-fall presentations are winding down, but we have some fresh new galleries up today. As to be expected, J. Mendel turned out lots of thick, luxurious-looking furs and gauzy eveningwear, which were accessorized with thick-strapped sandals. VPL's signature slouchy tops and pants were revamped with drawstring details and lots of ruching, and Helmut Lang's minimalist dresses were gathered at the waist to drape seductively across the hips.
