True to her word, Alberta Ferretti's "special guest" show at Pitti Uomo was full of non-models, including Olympic fencer Nathalie Moellhausen, Russian TV presenter Darya Spiridonova, and 15-year-old actress Georgie Laura Henley. There were plenty of actual models as well, but most of them haven't been on a runway in years, including Carmen Dell'Orefice and Marpessa. Ferretti explained her casting choices to WWD: “My muses are always the women of today. I wanted to show my outfits on women, not only on models like in Milan."
