Designers are using blocks of vibrant hues to break up the grays and blacks. Color combinations ran the gamut from Cynthia Rowley's khaki and cream pieces to rag & bone’s bright orange and cobalt outerwear. Derek Lam kept the color to the bottom half with red and black pants, while DKNY tempered oranges with blocks of camel, and BCBG punched up seventies-style silhouettes with strips of black, beige, and blue. Marc Jacobs sent model after model out in fitted ensembles sectioned off into panels of navy, maroon, and gray.
