Fug Girls: Miss J. Alexander Hexes Runways Left and Right
Sure, there were some starlets at Monique Lhuillier on Monday afternoon namely Julia Stiles, who told reporters that she's currently working on Fat Pig on Broadway "in honor of Fashion Week," and aptly white-clad Brittany Snow, who's working to keep Harry's Law from being canceled, presumably in honor of her checkbook. But we couldn't get too excited about them when they were but a few seats away from the one celebrity we've needed to talk to all week: America's Next Top Model runway diva extraordinaire (as Tyra would say) Miss J. Alexander. As soon as we spied him, we scurried right over and asked him the question on everyone's minds this season: What the hell is going on with Nigel Barker's new hair?
"UNRECOGNIZABLE," Miss J said. "That's the only statement I have. No one recognizes him." We agreed, noting that we think Nigel is way hotter bald. "You grew up on him bald," Miss J said wisely and also kindly, to believe that we were children when Top Model premiered. When we told him the rumor that Tyra likes the new hair, Miss J rolled his eyes. "UNRECOGNIZABLE. NIGEL BARKER'S HAIR. UNRECOGNIZABLE," he repeated, before promising us that he's pretty sure Nigel will return to his classic Hot Baldy self by the time they start filming ANTM again. "If it's not broke, don't fix it."
Nigel Barker squared away, conversation turned to the number of models who've taken a tumble on the runways thus far this season especially at Christian Siriano, where the extra-tall pumps turned the catwalk into a bloodbath (and we were prophetic, as one of Monique's models stumbled a bit before catching herself). Miss J explained that he hadn't been invited to that show, and that's probably why so many of the girls found their faces meeting pavement. "I put the Miss J hex on them," he grinned. "I cursed them." Doesn't anyone know you never invite the wrath of a runway diva extraordinaire? Apparently not.
