Yesterday's runways were dominated by relatively new faces. Women Direct's Martyna Budna made her New York catwalk debut by closing for Christian Siriano and Jenni Kayne. While Australian rookie Dempsey Stewart scored the opening look at Richard Chai. But it's Ukrainian model Juju Ivanyuk at New York Models who made the biggest impressions yesterday, thanks to her opening and closing slots at BCBG Max Azria, cast by Russell Marsh who also selects the runway lineups at Prada and Miu Miu. "I did looks for BCBG," says the 19-year-old Ivanyuk, "and shot the look book last weekend working with the amazing Camilla Nickerson from Vogue. I had a very good contact with Max Azria's wife during the process. Then before the show, I was told backstage that I would open and close." This comes after Ivanyuk's breakout season last fall when she opened for Celine and Alexander McQueen in Paris. See who else opened and closed day one of New York Fashion Week in the slideshow ahead.
